Studies have shown that getting outdoors has many health benefits. It gives us an opportunity to relax, disconnect from the fast-paced lifestyles many of us live and find peace in the beauty that surrounds us that often times is overlooked.
At ExquisiCare, we are dedicated to helping our elders continue to live with a sense of purpose.
Let's make kindness the norm.
I am calling for an end to the isolation requirements to which our seniors living in congregate living sites are still being subjected.
As we get older, and when we fall, those laughs are soon replaced with concerns and questions to make sure everything is okay. When a senior falls, it can be catastrophic.
When that person can no longer safely take care of their own hygiene, there are some challenges that must be addressed by the senior, their family, and their caregivers.
As an adult do you want to be told what to do in instances where your decisions are not harming or offending others?
Self care is important. But sadly this message is largely lost on seniors.
